Focusrite D3

Focusrite D3 is a high-quality dynamics proces-

sor plug-in for Pro Tools. Developed in coopera-

tion with Focusrite, the D3 is based on the

highly acclaimed Red Range 3

™

dual mono/ste-

reo compressor & limiter designed by Rupert

Neve.

Focusrite D3 Conﬁgurations

There are two configurations of the real-time

TDM Focusrite D3 plug-in:

◆ Compressor+Limiter. This configuration al-

lows you to use both the compressor and the

limiter at the same time. The Compressor+Lim-

iter plug-in requires twice as much DSP as the

Compressor/Limiter.

◆ Compressor/Limiter. This configuration al-

lows you to use either the compressor or the

limiter—but not both at the same time. The

Compressor/Limiter plug-in uses half as much

DSP as the Compressor+Limiter. It is provided so

that you can conserve DSP, since you may not

need both compression and limiting at the same

time.

The Compressor/Limiter defaults to the com-

pressor being enabled and the limiter disabled.
